About Me
Hi! I’m Ms. FUnds. I am slowly making my way towards financial freedom. I am a single parent. Like so many others, I am in between the “ah ha!” moment of discovering financial independence, and the end result of a job free life.
Being responsible for the life of a small human has taught me the importance of flexibility with planning. While I have goals to downshift my career in 5 years, and be financially free in 8 years, I consider this a goal to aim for, but not live and die by. Other parents, especially single parents, may understand this; there is a multitude of variables when it comes to money and raising kids.
I choose not to live so close to a plan that I may miss out on an opportunity for myself or my family.
Making my way towards financial independence has emboldened me as a parent and a professional. Although I am far from my end goal, I have already benefited from the side effects of getting my financial house in order, all on my own.
FU Money has given me the peace of mind that I thought was lost forever after I was divorced.
This site is a place for single parents to focus on celebrating the journey phase of the Financial Independence journey. My hope is to empower you to set yourself up with FU Money, so you can prioritize the here and now.
